FAQs

How can I get permission to use Prototype material?

If you are interested in acquiring the rights to one of our titles, or would like to publish an extract from one of our publications, please contact jess[at]prototypepublishing.co.uk.

Can I get a job at Prototype?

There are no current vacancies at Prototype, and we are unable to offer work experience or internships at the moment.

Can I submit my manuscript to Prototype?

We are currently closed for submissions. Please refer to our submissions page for updates or forthcoming submissions windows.

How does Prototype charge shipping?

Our shipping rates are charged according to the size and weight of the item and the region we are shipping to. Each type of item is assigned a flat rate for shipping to UK, European or Rest of World addresses, plus an additional amount for multiple items, which is calculated per item.

We keep our postage prices as low as possible, and we pay the merchant fees rather than transferring them on to our customers. Unfortunately postage prices are constantly increasing, and we can only apologise for some of the high prices, particularly for international shipping.

Does Prototype publish ebooks?

All of our prose titles, and a few of our poetry titles, are available as ebooks and can be ordered directly from our website, or from your usual ebook supplier.

How can I contact Prototype?

Please send all general inquiries to Jess Chandler either by email:

jess[at]prototypepublishing.co.uk

or post:

71 Oriel Road, London E9 5SG, UK

Alternatively, use the contact form here.

How can I buy a book that is sold out on the Prototype website?

If a book is marked as sold out on our website, it is unlikely that any more copies will become available. However, please feel to email us at admin[at]prototypepublishing.co.uk in case we know of any copies available elsewhere or can direct you to a bookshop with copies still in stock.

How can I follow up on an order?

If your order has not arrived, has been damaged in transit, or if there are any other problems, please email us at admin[at]prototypepublishing.co.uk quoting your order reference number (included in your order confirmation email), your name and your delivery address.

How can I contact a Prototype or Test Centre author?

If you would like to contact one of our authors, we would be happy to pass on an email and provide your contact details to allow the author to respond directly if they wish. Please send your email to jess[at]prototypepublishing.co.uk with details of who you'd like to contact, the text you would like us to forward and the contact details you would like them to respond to.
